Reporter said: “Laporta no longer talks about Leo. He is now 100% focused on Alvarez. The Argentine striker is considered an ideal replacement, not now. Instead, he will succeed Lewand next season.”
Lewandow is 36 years old and his contract with Barcelona expires on June 30, 2026. Lewandowski played 52 games for Barcelona this season, scoring 42 goals and sending 3 assists.
Alvarez is 25 years old. He joined Atletico Madrid for 75 million euro transfer fee last summer window. He played 54 games for Atletico Madrid this season, scoring 29 goals and giving 7 assists. The contract with Atletico Madrid expires in June 2030.
