After the two sides agreed, Spanish coach Sergio Salco Dias will serve as the first team head coach of Suzhou Dongwu Football Club from now on. At the same time, Spanish technical analyst Ruben Gallego Garcia and physical coach Juan Carlos Gonzalez Garlindo joined the team simultaneously to form a new Spanish coaching team, and work in-depth with the Chinese coaching team to strive for the club’s 2025 season competitive goals.
Sergio Salco Dias was born in August 1975 and has the qualification of UEFA professional coaching. Since coming to China in 2012, he has served as coach and technical director at Evergrande Football School, leading the team to win the national championship and delivering nearly 30 players to national teams at all levels.
In September 2021, Sarko became the head coach of Kunshan’s first team, and led the team to win the China League One championship in the 2022 season, successfully advancing to the Super League. In the 2023 season, Sarko coached the Henan team of the Chinese Super League, led the team to overcome difficulties and play steadily, and finally ranked tenth in the Chinese Super League standings with a record of 9 wins, 9 draws and 12 losses.

Ruben-Gallego Garcia, born in 1982, Spanish, holds a UEFA professional coaching certificate. He has rich coaching experience, has served as head coach and assistant coach in different leagues in many countries, and has a national team-level work experience. His career began in the Spanish Second Division, working in technical analysis and scouting.
While deepening in the field of Chinese football, he devoted himself to youth training at Evergrande Football School, and has served as coaching positions in China Professional League clubs such as Nanjing City, Shaanxi United, and Dalian Kuncheng. He has an in-depth understanding of Chinese football and solid practical experience.
Juan Carlos Gonzalez Galindo, born in 1979, is a Spanish native. He has a master’s degree in football injury prevention and rehabilitation, football physical fitness coaching technical talent, and holds a UEFA professional coaching certificate.
Juan Carlos has served as head of physical coaching in clubs such as B Lynns, San Fernando, La Liga Cadis, and Israeli Premier League Shakney. In the 2024 season, he served as the head of physical coach at St. Joseph Football Club in the Gibraltar Super League and won the Cup championship with the team. Juan Carlos’ deep background in sports science will inject impetus into the team’s physical fitness system construction.
