1BSPORTS 1B Sports June 10th The Newcastle Chronicle reported that Newcastle has decided not to chase Lewin, and the former England international may be about to leave Everton as a free agent.
Newcar had followed Lewin last summer but eventually pulled out of negotiations. Although Lewin is about to become a free agent and he is willing to travel to northern England (home of Newcastle city), Newcastle has set his sights on other targets. Everton’s official statement this week that the club is still in contract negotiations with Lewin, and the local striker’s current contract expires at the end of this month.
As Wilson is doubting the future of the Magpies, Newcastle is clearly looking for a substitute for Isaac.
