In the South American standings, Argentina currently leads the lead with 35 points, Ecuador ranked second after starting the game, and Brazil advanced to the World Cup with the third straight to the World Cup. Chile missed the World Cup two rounds ahead of schedule.
Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Venezuela and Bolivia will compete for three places to go directly to the World Cup. The three teams Uruguay, Paraguay and Colombia have a certain point gap with Venezuela.
The last two South American World Cup qualifiers will start in September.
