1BSPORTS 1B Sports June 12th The PFA (England Professional Players’ Union) issued a statement protesting Xie’s wage arrears on Wednesday.
“As a professional player union, we have been communicating with members of the Xie Wednesday club about multiple delays in salary payments.
At the end of the day, players and staff are no different from other employee groups—they have the right to expect salary payments to be paid on time and require employers to fulfill the terms of the contract.
When this fails, it has a significant impact on the professional and personal lives of players, staff and their families. This uncertainty becomes even worse in the lack of clear communication about the causes of these issues and when they will be expected to be paid.
The ongoing and repeated delay in paying players and staff is unacceptable and must be resolved immediately. We will continue to support the Xie Wednesday club members until this situation is properly resolved.”
