The Bordeaux club was administratively relegated to Frank C (League 3) in 2023-24 due to an ongoing financial crisis, and filed for bankruptcy and reorganization in July 2024, and finally fell into Fardin (League 4) which belonged to the amateur league in the 2024-25 season.
Bordeaux has initiated judicial reorganization since July 2024, aiming to avoid complete bankruptcy through debt restructuring. The focus of the court’s judgment on June 24 will be to determine whether the club’s ongoing business plan submitted by the club is passed. If the plan is rejected, Bordeaux will not only lose the registration qualification of the Fading League, but may even face the end of the club’s demise.
