At 8:33 on June 12, the Jilin National Games team, with Changchun Yatai U18 team as the team, will take the G394 high-speed rail to Tangshan to participate in the 15th National Games Men’s Football U18 Group Qualification Competition.
The 15th National Games Men’s Football U18 Group Qualification Competition will be held from June 16 to 30. The group stage adopts a single round-robin system (a total of 5 rounds), with the top two in the group and the third in the three groups with the best results. A total of 11 teams advanced to the final stage of the 15th National Games Men’s Football U18 Group. The Jilin team and Hubei, Guizhou, Hebei, Xinjiang and Tianjin were ranked in Group D of Hebei Division (Tangshan).
Changchun Yatai U18 team is composed of players of the 2007-2008 age group. The club equips this team with an elite coaching team (head coach Yan Feng, leader Zhang Xiaofei, assistant coach Liu Ziyang, goalkeeper coach Qin Xiao). In 2024, they represented Jilin Province to win the third place in the U18th Group of the Men’s Football U18 in the first National Youth “Three Major Balls” Games.
In 2009, 2013 and 2021, Changchun Yatai represented Jilin Province in the National Games three times, and reached the top 8 of the U18 group twice. In order to play this event well, Changchun Yatai U18 team trained in Dalian for 10 days. After returning to Changchun, they had another teaching match with the first team. On June 20, they will welcome their first opponent in the National Games qualifying match – Xinjiang Team.
