R.I.P. Premier League first black referee Uria Raini died of illness at the age of 65

Uria Renee became the first black referee in England’s top league (Premier League) in 1997. At that time, he enforced the law against Wimbledon, and since then he has enforced more than 300 games in the league level. In 2008, Rainy retired.

Two months before Renee’s tragic death, he revealed that he was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease, with a nodule pressing his spine and unable to undergo surgery, and was relearning to walk after that.
