Official statement shows that Atlanta activated the buyout clause and signed Kosonu from Leverkusen. It is reported that the buyout fee is 20 million euros.
Cosonu is 1.91 meters tall and plays as a central defender. The contract with Leverkusen was originally valid until June 30, 2026.
Last season, Kosonu made 23 appearances for Atlanta, including 15 starts and 2 assists.
