Michael Edwards returned to Fenway Group in 2024. Before this Liverpool career, Edwards served as Liverpool’s sports director, leading the team to several important championships, including a Champions League and the end of the 30-year-old top league championship.
Edwards has served at Liverpool for more than 10 years and while serving as Football Director, he is believed to have built an industry-leading football operations team that combines a data-oriented approach with scouts and intelligence, revolutionizing the organization’s recruitment, player transfers, lineup planning and decisions for key leaders in football.
