2025 Chinese Super League Round 14: Shenzhen Xinpengcheng vs Shanghai Shenhua Post-match press conference
Slutsky: Today’s defeat really made me feel very heartbroken. It should have been to quickly seize the opportunity to widen the gap, but unfortunately our defense line was not done well today, and our opponents frequently used the counterattack opportunity to score. Under such weather conditions, if the opportunity is not seized, or the conversion rate is very low, the game will be quite difficult to play.
The team lost three goals in this game today. What problems do you think are there on the team’s defensive end today?
Slutsky: Today our defense line did retreat too deep and too far behind. If the defense line cannot maintain a compact distance from the frontcourt position, the team’s steals, pressure, and integrity will not be able to be played, and the difficulties in the game will be further increased. I think this is the most important point in losing today.
