At the post-match press conference, Taishan team coach Choi Kang-hee said: “This game did not show our training content. Many players did not show their strength, did not show their sense of responsibility, and did not show their content. As a coach, I have to be responsible, and the players also have to reflect on it. Mr. Supervisor, what do you think of the referee’s penalty in this game?” Choi Kang-hee mentioned that some of the referee’s penalty in this game affected the mentality of the players on the field.
When he lost to Tianjin, Taishan team lost the opportunity to narrow the gap with the leader Shanghai Shenhua, and Shanghai Shenhua lost 1-3 to Shenzhen Xinpeng City in this round. Under such circumstances, the team’s rejuvenation process has made no progress. If Choi Kang-hee is stubborn in personnel selection, Tarzan’s season is likely to be wasted.
Next, Taishan’s strategic focus will shift to the FA Cup front. At 19:35 on June 20, Taishan will sit at home Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium, compete with his strong rival Chengdu Rongcheng to compete for the quarterfinals of the FA Cup. In another round of competition held on the evening of June 14, Chengdu Rongcheng lost to Henan team 2-3 away.
