Manchester City is pleased to confirm two important appointments regarding Guardiola’s first-team coaching staff.
Pepijn Lijnders was appointed as assistant coach and James French was set pieces coach.
The 42-year-old Dutch coach Linders served as Liverpool assistant coach from 2018 to 2024, assisting Klopp. In July 2024, Linders became the head coach of Red Bull Salzburg, but was dismissed five months later due to poor grades and has been unemployed since then.
