1BSPORTS 1B Sports June 15 According to the Marca, O’Brack, who is preparing for the Club World Cup with Atletico Madrid in the United States, was interviewed and talked about his expectations for the Club World Cup.
About the significance of participating in the Club World Cup to Atletico Madrid
This is very important. To be honest, I am full of expectations for the Club World Cup. This is an opportunity for Atletico Madrid to compete for the championship, and we will do everything possible to win it.
Atel Malaysia is proud of participating in this Club World Cup or is it on your shoulders?
I think this reflects the qualities of our club, our team and all our staff. We entered an event that is not easy to participate in. Not all teams can participate in the Club World Cup, not because they don’t want it, but because their results in the past four years have not met expectations. Therefore, it is indeed worthy of our pride to be able to participate in the Club World Cup. At the same time, we also shoulder the responsibility of doing things well and striving to win. We are not just participating in the competition, but trying to win the championship. This is the mentality of our team. Although Atletico Madrid regretfully has not won any championship this season, we have a chance here and we will do our best to achieve the goal of (winning the championship).
About Atletico Madrid’s current mentality
Our mentality has not changed, even during the team’s trough, the elimination of the Champions League has hurt us, and since then, we have problems in the league and the Copa del Rey has been eliminated, but now we have time to prepare for the Club World Cup. Although some people play with the national team, the team is ready for the game and I am sure we will do our best. The Club World Cup is a cup match with shorter match intervals, and we need to show our best form.
About Atletico Madrid’s importance of striving for a good start in the Club World Cup
Winning the game is always important, especially against strong teams, but in the end, it’s just one of three games in the group stage, and we will definitely go all out to win, but tomorrow’s game will not decide to advance or eliminate. The game needs to be played one game at a time, and it is good to start with three points, but no matter what the outcome is, we must maintain confidence in continuing to move forward.
About Paris Saint-Germain, who is now a European champion
Paris at the beginning of the 24-24 season is the same team as Paris now. They introduced some new players in January, but they have always had a strong lineup. When we played against Paris in the Champions League, we clearly felt that they were a strong team. I was sure they would qualify and compete all the way to the end because they had an excellent lineup, excellent coaches and a very good offensive tactical system.
It was very difficult to play against a team like Paris. They were unlucky at the beginning of the season but eventually achieved all their goals. Now they also want to win the Club World Cup, so what awaits us tomorrow will be a game that requires all our might to win.
